Managing Associate

Shaimaa is a Managing Associate at ADSERO – Ragy Soliman & Partners. She works in the Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory department (Life Sciences, Real Estate, and Tourism practice groups). She has more than seven years of experience across multiple legal fields. Before joining ADSERO, Shaimaa worked at top-tier law firms in Egypt.

Shaimaa acted as the legal consultant for several domestic and multinational companies across multiple industries, specifically in the pharmaceutical, automotive, construction, and tourism industries. She is highly proficient in preparing legal opinions and advice in different law fields and in drafting and reviewing different agreement types.

Shaimaa has extensive in-house experience in the pharmaceutical field, including, but not limited to, assessing new business models, drafting and reviewing different types of agreements (e.g. distribution, partnership, sponsorship, manufacturing, services, lease, employment, settlement, donation, NDA, patient affordability programs, and MOUs concluded with governmental entities), dealing with multiple Egyptian governmental authorities, interacting with different functions and stakeholders, preparing legal advice and opinions, preparing case assessments, drafting letters and notifications by court bailiffs, preparing competition risk assessments, and negotiating agreements with counterparties.

Advised on the unilateral termination of EPC and consortium agreements concluded between multinational companies and governmental authorities and participated in drafting the settlement agreements.

Advised on the supply of plasma collection devices and disposable kits from a multinational company to Egypt concerning the operation of plasmapheresis donation centers in Egypt.

Participated in reviewing consortium and subcontract agreements in relation to El-Dabaa Project.

Participated in several disputes before the Administrative Court, Supreme Administrative Court, and Economic Court in relation to patent infringement and revocation of marketing authorizations of generic products.

Participated in an arbitral dispute before the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration on a sale of a group of hotels in Marsa Alam.

Participated in preparing amendment proposals for laws and executive regulations.

Member of the Egyptian Bar Association.
